Description We are seeking a Urologist to join this leading regional Hospital on a permanent or partime VMO  basis.

The position is responsible to provide direct clinical services and optimal patient care to individuals presenting with Urological problems, including the both elective and emergent Urological surgical procedures. This role will cover inpatient and outpatient clinics.

Located on the land of Kamilaroi/Gomeroi/Gamillaray people Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is the second largest hospital in HNE Health and the key referral hospital for much of the north western region of HNE Health. The newly redeveloped hospital was opened in 2015 with state of art facilities across emergency, maternity, paediatrics, theatres, intensive care, coronary care, medical and surgical specialities, with 348 treatment spaces. The hospital has five operating theatres currently in operation and is supported by a modern Cancer Centre, sophisticated diagnostic services, along with comprehensive community and outpatient services.

Requirements:
  • A Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with appropriate Advanced Specialist Training in Urology.
  • RACS trainee approaching Fellowship, or
  • IMG's assessed by RACS and found to be Substantially Comparable.
