OVERALL PURPOSE
A role within Pirtek Oil & Gas Pty Ltd (POG) to be responsible for maintaining the QA and Work Health and Safety system. To ensure the product and service meets the established standards of quality including NATA and ISO. To be responsible for revising procedures to inspect and report QA issues.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
  • Gives guidance and support to ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the current ISO, API Q1 and NATA standards.
  • Schedule, coordinate, document internal audits.
  • Maintain material traceability, ensuring certificates are stored and easily retrievable
  • Ensure all electronic job records are accurate, up to date and easily retrievable
  • Preparation and submission of Material Data Reports (MDR) and Material Data Dossiers (MDD)
  • Maintain records, registers, reports and relevant documentation for the company’s document control system.
  • Monitor the POG Quality, WHS and NATA systems and determine when changes or improvements are required.
  • Ensure all legal standards are met.
  • Communicate with external QA officers during on-site inspections.
  • Remove all obsolete and superseded documentation.
  • Validate all QA processes.
  • Working with the heads of department develop QA plans by conducting analysis of root cause, preventative measures and initiate and monitor corrective actions.
  • Monitor CARs or NCRs
  • Monitor risk assessment systems
  • Participate and lead incident investigations as well as audit activities
  • Liaise with staff to establish procedures for safety and workflow.
  • Induct new employees for company policies and procedures
  • With department heads determine, write, present training requirements.
  • Ensure all employee inductions and training matrix are current.
  • Ensure all employee trade qualifications and certificates are current and recorded.
  • Stop and council employees who are not following work instructions, procedures and safe working practices.
  • Improve safety performances of all staff
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety procedures.
  • Assist with encouragement developing objectives, strategies and plans to conform with customer satisfaction using the organisations efficient resources.

  • Develop solutions for organisational problems for clients administrative and clerical work study reviews including proposed methods and procedures
NECESSARY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Able to write Work instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all staff
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Manage Corrective Actions Reports and Non Conformance Reports
  • strong people and leadership skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a compliance or document control role, or similar position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management techniques for identifying, assessing and mitigating safety risks
DESIRABLES
  • Be part of ISO Audit process (internal and external audit
  • Working knowledge of NATA , API, AS and EN standards
  • Experience in the Hose & fitting industry
  • Studying Quality Management
  • Understanding of Australian legislation
