A recently opened an impressive, recovery-focused 102-bed Mental Health Service offering adult inpatient care, and for the first time, is catering for youth (16-24 years) and older adult (65+ years) inpatients.Located 25 kilometres from Perth’s CBD.
This position is recruiting to a full time or part time (minimum 0.5FTE) / fixed term vacancy for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s).
The position will be responsible for providing RANZCP accredited supervision to psychiatry trainees in psychiatry of old age, junior medical staff, and medical students. The successful applicant will examine, assess, diagnose, and treat consumers referred to the MMH&CADS Community Older Persons Service across the region including supportive secondary consultation and liaison to the regional hospital Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Team.
Subspecialty qualifications and experience in Psychiatry of Old Age is welcome.
Fellowship of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
