Client:

This Family-owned business is a well-established, refrigeration company providing installation, repair and maintenance services for predominantly commercial and industrial systems, but also with some domestic work, across the Tamworth region. They are fully licensed refrigeration contractor, and pride on the broad experience and technical skills of their team that has underpinned the reputation it enjoys today.

Role:  
The key function of the role is to carry out installation and service breakdown work on mainly commercial and industrial, medium sized to large refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Reporting to the business owner, you'll be a vital member of the team.

Annual income for standard 38-hour week excluding superannuation range ($80-$100k) per annum commensurate with industry rates, skills and experience.

Candidate:
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 year’s post trade experience carrying out installation and service of air conditioning and refrigeration systems in a minimum of domestic and commercial applications.
  • That background will have equipped you with exemplary fault finding and preventative maintenance skills, coupled with the ability and aptitude to deal with ancillary mechanical and electrical equipment associated with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • You must possess above average organizational skills, to the extent that you can work autonomously and effectively without constant supervision.
  • A reliable, honest work ethic and a positive team player attitude are also essential personal attributes. Attention to detail and timely completion of service reports is essential.
  • This position will also involve participation in the on-call roster and overtime as required.
  • Installation:
    • Install refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including large-scale commercial units, chillers, freezers, and HVAC systems.
    • Interpret and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
    • Ensure all installations comply with relevant Australian standards and regulations.
  • Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
    • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and inefficiencies.
    • Replace or repair defective components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, and filters.
  • Repairs:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures and malfunctions.
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to repair or replace faulty parts.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice.
  • Prepare and explain work estimates, schedules, and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and responsive service.
The successful candidates will need:
  • ARC license
  • Dept Fair Trading Supervisors Licence
  • A current Australian driver's license
