The Opportunity

A rare and high-impact opportunity for a Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery to lead and shape a high-performing service within the Wide Bay.

This is a senior leadership role combining clinical excellence, strategic influence, and service development, ideal for an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking to step into (or further develop) an executive-level position.

You will provide expert clinical and strategic leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality orthopaedic and trauma services while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Services across the region
* Provide **strategic direction** in collaboration with executive leadership
* Deliver **high-quality clinical care** aligned with best practice standards
* Drive **service development, innovation, and performance improvement**
* Support and mentor medical staff, trainees, and multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to **teaching, training, and research activities** (aligned with CanMEDS framework)

Remuneration & Benefits

* **Total package up to $574,115 p.a.**
* Base salary: **$216,643 – $274,678 + allowances**

IMG / International Candidate Suitability

This role is well suited to **internationally trained Orthopaedic Surgeons**:

* **Fellowship (FRACS Orthopaedics) or equivalent**

* UK, Ireland, NZ and other comparable healthcare systems welcomed
* Support provided for **AHPRA registration and relocation**
